OIC Celebrates Its Class of 2017
Mike Crandall of Sandler Training brings Commencement Address
OIC will host its Annual Cap and Gown Graduation for the Class of 2017 on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 6:30 pm. The event will be hosted at City Pres OKC, 829 NW 13th in Oklahoma City.
The OIC Annual Graduation celebrates adult students who have completed the Diploma Prep/GED program and earned a high school equivalency diploma. Graduates are treated the high school graduation they missed so many years ago. The event features full cap and gown regalia, complete with gift bags for the graduating class and a commencement speaker.

Crandall expressed through his social media page his excitement at serving as graduation speaker: “Of the 1,000’s of speaking engagements I have had in my life – this is one of the most special to me. The mission of OIC is crucial for our society. Meeting several of the Graduates this week and hearing their stories of life change tugged greatly on my heartstrings. It also made me very proud of them and their accomplishments. The work the team at OIC does is amazing. I look forward to being with these great Graduates on April 20th and having the honor to speak at their Ceremony.”
The annual event is sponsored financially through an anonymous donor. Items for the 2017 graduate “swag bags” have been provided by the Northwest Chamber of Commerce, Crandall’s book Motivational Management the Sandler Way, Personal Scents, and other surprises.
DesJean Jones, Executive Director comments, “The Annual Graduation is the premiere event of OIC! These adult students have worked incredibly hard to reach what is the beginning of many milestones in their lives.”
Hosting the graduation ceremony this year will be City Pres OKC, a dynamic people-centric church founded in 2012. Rev. Doug Serven is the Senior Pastor.
