OIC Presents Reasons for Illiteracy

The common issues of why 1 in 5 Oklahoma City adult residents are unable to read will be covered. The session will also provide information regarding OIC’s adult literacy tutoring program.

We’ll be holding an hour session regarding “Reasons for Illiteracy” on March 17 from 1 to 2 pm.

Many of us take reading for granted, finding pleasure in reading a good book or helping our children negotiate the education system. Unfortunately, there are 93 million adults in the United States that find the written word intimidating and challenging.

Learn the reasons illiteracy still exists and what can be done about it!
