Opportunities Industrialization Center of Oklahoma County, Inc. (OIC) is pleased to offer several new learning opportunities to the Oklahoma City metro area. OIC is launching a one month evening GED class to help adults looking to get their diploma and maybe start college in the fall. The GED class will be held from June 1st through June 29th on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. The instructor-driven class will help students study for all five subtests of the high school equivalency exam and students will be able to test onsite at OIC. Register online at www.oicokc.org/events or stop by our location Monday through Friday between 9am and 4pm. Adult students must register by June 1st. Cost of the one month session is $60.
OIC’s ACT Prep class will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 9am to 3pm. Designed for first time ACT test-takers, the one-day course will cover all sections of the ACT exam – English, Mathematics, Science Reasoning, and Reading. Jones notes, “Whether you need to catch up, keep up, or be enriched, this one-day session will help students prepare for the ACT. Personalized attention from tutors will help evaluate weakest areas and get students ready for the June 11th exam date.” To register go to www.oicokc.org/events or call 405.235.2651 with questions. Cost of the one-day session is $80.
Each class is led by instructor Chris Myers who has been with OIC for over four years. Myers has helped hundreds achieve their academic goals whether it be passing the GED, entering college, or obtaining employment. “Our learners are working to move forward and overcome obstacles in their path. OIC has one of the most efficient programs in the state for serving adult students.” states Myers.
