Black Justice Fund grant to Support OIC Business Academy
The Daily Oklahoman November 19, 2020: Opportunities Industrialization Center of Oklahoma County has been awarded $50,000 from the OKC Black Justice Fund to establish the OIC Business Academy.
The academy will support Black Oklahomans who seek to start their own businesses; are already operating limited business ventures from their homes, cars or garages; have blemished backgrounds that contain felony convictions or have other obstacles to securing employment opportunities at the current level of education.
Seed money will be given to those who complete the training to start a business. Applications will be accepted for participants starting in January.
For those interested in participating in the Academy, send an email to info@oicokc.org with your name, phone number, and business idea.
