OIC Story Trail

Event Description

OIC Has a Story Trail!!

OIC of Oklahoma County is proud to announce the official opening of its brand-new OIC Story Trail, a unique health literacy initiative designed to inspire the mind and move the body. The Story Trail is now open to the public and features six stations of classic literature, each paired with a thought-provoking question and a movement inspired by the theme of the passage.

The curated selections include poetry by Maya Angelou, a beloved children’s classic by Dr. Seuss, passages from works by Paulo Coelho, Langston Hughes, and others, providing an enriching experience for readers of all ages. Visitors are encouraged to not only engage with the words but also reflect, move, and connect in meaningful ways.

The Story Trail was made possible thanks to generous funding from a grant awarded by the Metropolitan Library System.

To celebrate this exciting installation, OIC invites the community to join in a Public Walk of the Story Trail on:

📅 Tuesday, September 30th
🕥 10:30 AM — Rain or Shine
📍 OIC of Oklahoma County

Guests are encouraged to bring a notebook to collect their official completion stamp after finishing the walk.

The OIC Story Trail is free and open to all ages. For more information, please contact OIC of Oklahoma County at 405-235-2651.
