The Opportunities Industrialization Center of Oklahoma County (OIC) is helping dreamers and innovators turn ideas into reality with a two-day workshop, “From Idea to Prototype: Build Your Own App.”
The workshop, scheduled for Friday, Oct. 17, from 5:30–8:30 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 18, from 1–4 p.m., at OIC (3033 N. Walnut Ave.), teaches participants how to create functional app prototypes—no coding experience required.
“This workshop is perfect for anyone with a big idea who’s ready to take the first real step toward making it happen,” said Cam Perry, Bridge2Tech instructor at OIC of Oklahoma County. “You don’t need a tech background—just bring your creativity and passion, and we’ll help you build something real.”
For $150, attendees will leave with a working prototype, new technical skills and the confidence to bring concepts to life. Churches, entrepreneurs and everyday innovators are encouraged to attend. Oklahoma County ARPA funds support the initiative, reflecting OIC’s mission to expand technical skills and empower the community.
A special scholarship offers the first seven registrants 50% off tuition. Space is limited; registration closes Oct. 10. To sign up, call OIC at 405-235-2651 or email info@oicokc.org.
Founded in 1966, OIC provides educational programs, workforce training and life skills development to underserved Oklahomans.
