Oklahoma City, OK – Opportunities Industrialization Center of Oklahoma County, Inc., (OIC) has been inspiring and motivating adult learners for 53 years!  Since 1966, OIC has served nearly 41,000 adults in education and training programs in Oklahoma County.

OIC will be celebrating 53 years with a trip down memory lane. “It is a celebration of the past, the present, and the bright future to come,” says Jones, Executive Director.  “Everyone who has ever been involved with OIC is invited to come out to the match and help us celebrate,” states Jones.

The celebration will be held Saturday, August 10th, 2019 with a family-friendly day of soccer featuring the OKC Energy against the Fresno FC. Game time is set for 8:00 pm at Taft Stadium, 2501 N. May in Oklahoma City.  Tickets are only $10 and includes kids under 12 eat free.

Jones says, “This is more than just a fundraising event.  We get a chance to recognize and acknowledge the rich history of OIC while introducing ourselves to a new generation. We want everyone to come out, get a tshirt and enjoy the rest of the OIC family.”  


Tickets for the event must be purchased by August 3rd. They can be purchased online with a $2 surcharge or in person at OIC – 3033 N. Walnut Avenue, Building East, located on the corner of NE 30th and Walnut Avenue near the State Capitol.

OIC specializes in providing education and training programs designed to elevate the adult student.  They offer a variety of programs which serve the Oklahoma City community such as high school diploma prep (day and evening classes), adult basic education, basic computer software training, reading literacy, Exit2Success for career coaching and job placement, and Brain Train Academy to sharpen memory and brain.
